Travis Scott Has Shared a New Music Video For His Astroworld Song “Can’t Say.”

Travis Scott has released another music video for his equally trippy rap song,"Can't Say."

Travis Scott’s “Can’t Say,” featuring Don Toliver, is proof that this doesn’t have to be the case by simply leaning into its excesses. It achieves the rare honor of being the John Wick of music videos — brolic, epic and nonsensical — the visually stunning Nathalie Canguilhem-directed video borders on the incoherent, and doesn’t seek to be anything more.

Scott seems to be the leader of a dirt bike gang, decked in suits from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello (can you say brand synergy, baby!). His adoring congregation follows him through the street as they all pop wheelies, while Scott triumphantly stands on his moving, two-wheel vehicle. The violet-drenched video then mixes its metaphors — a woman is crucified on a neon-lit cross, while horses gallop through the streets and some random dudes ride in go-karts. As long as music videos continue to be made they should all aspire to the heights of “Can’t Say.”

About “CAN'T SAY”

With a winding, hypnotic beat from Frank Dukes, Wondagurl and London Cyr, Travis cedes most of “CAN’T SAY” to Houston newcomer and recent Cactus Jack signee Don Toliver.

Together, the two trade stories of getting high and pulling women.

Furthering the homage to Houston hip-hop present throughout most of Astroworld, the track includes an interlude sampling Fat Pat’s 1998 verse from “25 Lighters”, a song by DJ DMD that also featured Lil Keke, who Travis also references on “5% TINT”.

Who is Don Toliver

According to an interview with the Fader, he is a Houston-area rapper who caught the attention of Travis. He released a mixtape titled Donny Womack on August 2, 2018.

What Have The Artist Said About The Song ?

Speaking on an interview with genius, Don Toliver spoke on how he linked up with Travis Scott in ‘November or December of 2017’:

When I first started linking up with Travis, somebody from my camp reached out to somebody in his camp. I sent them music and videos and it got to Travis and he was feeling it. He came back and we were able to link up and vibe.

And also elaborated on the process of working on ASTROWORLD:

The process was dope. We flew out there to Hawaii. The whole gang was there. It was nothing but love and great energy. It was definitely a creative process going on in the area. It was just a lot of vibes, man. Feeding off of everybody’s energy.

Furthermore, Travis cosigned Don Toliver following the release of ASTROWORLD on twitter:
